If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican flavours, this is the spot. I thought I 'd give it a try for a friend's birthday dinner and every dish was a hit. The goat curry and chicken wings were seasoned to perfection, and my friends pork and coconut steak dishes were outstanding. You can tell everything is made with love. It’s rare to find a place with excellent food and service. The cocktails were on happy hour which was a bonus. A great restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. I will be returning and highly recommend this restaurant.
The sea bass with callaloo, green banana and okra was absolutely delicious. Every element of the dish worked perfectly together, delivering incredible flavour, just the right amount of heat, and plenty of texture. The sea bass was beautifully cooked, while the callaloo, green banana and okra created a rich, authentic accompaniment that elevated the whole dish. It was one of those meals where every bite was enjoyable. The saltfish fritters were a solid 7/10. They were still very good, well-seasoned and enjoyable, with the homemade hot pepper sauce served alongside them. Full of flavour with a lovely kick, it complemented the fritters perfectly. To drink, the Ray & Nephew slush was outstanding. Refreshing, flavourful and expertly balanced, it was the perfect addition to the meal. Overall, it was an amazing dining experience from start to finish. Fantastic food, great flavours throughout, and a real sense of care in every dish. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily return. First time visiting and will def be back !?
Absolutely stunning Caribbean food. So glad I tried the Croft Combo dish as it included a mix of curry goat, BBQ chicken, and belly pork. The belly pork especially was unbelievable. Sides and extras were all spot-on too, festival, plantain, callaloo, rice & peas, everything was so good. Rum cocktails super tasty (and strong!!) too. Can't wait to visit again next time I'm in Bristol
Four of us had dinner here last night. Absolutely scorching outside and we weren't sure we'd made the right choice having hot spicy food but it was all good. The staff were amazing, keeping us supplied with plenty of iced water and delicious cocktails and as always delicious tasty food.
We visited the Caribbean Croft last night, not realizing it was during the St. Paul’s Festival, so the area was incredibly busy with lots of people and loud music. From the moment we arrived, Jasmine made us feel so welcome. She went out of her way to seat us in a quieter spot away from the crowds, which made a huge difference to our evening. Jasmine was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. She checked in on us regularly to make sure everything was okay without ever being intrusive, and her excellent customer service really stood out. Thank you so much, Jasmine. Your kindness and professionalism made our evening so much more enjoyable. Excellent service—we’ll definitely be back!
1st visit with my friend senthil. Goat curry at Caribbean Croft was rich and flavourful. The combo offered a perfect taste of the islands. Generous portions of truly nice food are matched by a fantastic, vibrant ambiance. A top spot in Bristol for authentic, satisfying Caribbean cuisine. Highly recommended for a relaxed, tasty meal.
Wow! Had some lunch at the Caribbean Croft last week, and it was one of the most flavoursome, tasty, well cooked dishes ive ever eaten. I ordered the curried goat and it was so delicious!!! I cant wait to go again and order the same thing! The staff were super nice, and there was nice background music, very enjoyable. It looked super cozy inside. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Lovely place! Me and my boyfriend came in for dinner and the staff were so lovely and the food was great, we ordered curried goat and jerk chicken and some dessert too. The portion sizes for the mains were very generous so be mindful of that. The starters were a good small portion, as was dessert. Bonus points because one of the staff members quickly handled an issue that happened while we were inside (which was not the restaurant’s fault!) so we were very grateful for how quickly that was taken care of. Truly wonderful staff, wish we had gotten their names to give extra credit haha. We will definitely be coming back!
