Elite seafood at one of the few three Michelin restaurant in the world by Chef Michael Cimarusti! The effort in resourcing sustainable products across the world and the care taken for each item is admirable. We saved this location for a special occasion and enjoyed our experience. It’s elegant plating with fresh herbs from their upstairs garden. We got the tasting menu and added the Uni Egg that is super decadent and fragile. We split one and it was enough for a taste for two. For cocktails, the Bee’s Sneeze was excellent too with a flowery essence and not too sweet. The Gin and Pear It was another good cocktail too. Out of our tasting, my favorite was the Scallop served with a savory-scallop caramel on top. They are innovation and top tier food.
WOW! What an experience this was! For my Christmas present my mom and dad treated me to this 3 Michelin star restaurant “Providence” in LA and let me tell you, it’s nothing like I’ve ever experienced before! The tasting menu was out of the world, amazing staff, and overall one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I recommend 100% this restaurant to everyone who wants fantastic food and service. Not a single thing was negative about the whole thing. Looking forward to going back sometime soon!
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We tried the classic tasting menu and added the uni egg. It took us about two hours to finish the course. The dessert was also delicate and excellent, and we left feeling full and satisfied.
Been to fair amount of fine dining places around the world and this is one of the best one I ever tried. Service is perfect, and the seafood is top quality. Each dish is clean, creative, and perfectly presented. The sauce added to the natural favor of the seafood but not overpowering it. we also lucky to have a mini tour at the kitchen after dinner and get to meet Chef Michael!
Providence remains one of those rare restaurants that does not chase relevance because it already owns it. This is seafood as high craft, quiet confidence, and discipline meeting deep pleasure. Every course feels intentional without ever feeling precious. The room is calm and composed, the kind of place where the noise of the city falls away and attention sharpens. You are here to eat, to notice, to slow down. The tasting menu is a master class in restraint and clarity. Santa Barbara spot prawns arrive pristine and sweet, treated with reverence rather than theatrics. The uni course is luminous, briny, and balanced, never heavy, never fussy. Their legendary salt roasted Santa Barbara prawns deserve the reputation they carry. Perfect texture, pure flavor, nothing to hide behind. The lobster dishes show technical precision without losing warmth. Sauces are exacting and layered, built for depth rather than volume. Even the simplest preparations feel studied in the best way. Presentation is elegant and modern, never distracting. Plates land like punctuation marks, not exclamation points. The wine program is world class, with pairings that elevate rather than overpower. Thoughtful selections, confident pours, and pacing that respects the arc of the meal. Cocktails follow the same philosophy clean, restrained, and purposeful. Service is among the best in the city. Polished, knowledgeable, and genuinely hospitable. Questions are welcomed. Timing is flawless. You never feel rushed, and you never feel forgotten. Providence is not trying to impress you. It simply does. This is Los Angeles fine dining at its most serious and most satisfying. A benchmark restaurant that earns its reputation every single night.
Oh my goodness. What an experience. This was hands down the best tasting menu we've ever had, and we've been fortunate enough to enjoy a few! Every course was exceptional, the service was warm and flawless, and the drinks and the wine pairings were absolutely incredible. Providence delivered one of those rare meals you'll be talking about long after the last bite. They even customized the menu print for our anniversary. If you've been thinking about going, stop thinking and make a reservation. Go. Today.
Providence is bar none the best restaurant I have ever been to. The service was amazing - every single staff member went above and beyond for us. They were also very knowledgeable and could speak to every ingredient. The ambience was perfect - cozy yet trendy, comfortable yet professional... I'm not even sure how to accurately describe it! And the food was PERFECT in every way. Every detail was spot on and we will without a doubt be returning to Providence. The staff work very hard to make sure the entire experience is unforgettable and they are succeeding in every way!
I came to Providence with very high hopes for an unforgettable dining experience, but honestly: “Quite ordinary.” Appetizers: Caviar and uni were disappointing and uninspired. Then salmon with cream, crispy bread, and black truffle – ingredients I expected to be more creative at a 3-star level, but instead felt very common. Sashimi & king crab: Nicely presented, but the sauce was overly salty and once again paired with caviar – repetitive and dull. Santa Barbara prawn & egg yolk with uni: Lacked impact, not memorable at all. Scallop with XO sauce: Finally, a highlight – flavorful and well executed. Abalone – nothing special, slightly salty Risotto with Italian white truffle: Overly rich and heavy, lacking finesse. Duck breast & king salmon: Average at best, nothing special. Desserts: The best part of the meal – especially the in-house chocolate, which was delicious. Overall, I was looking for something extraordinary from a Michelin 3-star restaurant, but what I got could easily be found in many non-Michelin places. Outdated ingredients, unimaginative execution, and little creativity. Don’t get me wrong – the food was good, but it was not remarkable in terms of ingredients or creativity. I give this restaurant 3 stars (just okay), not because the food wasn’t good, but because it was overhyped. Good food doesn’t necessarily come from the most expensive ingredients. True culinary artistry is about creating unforgettable flavors and experiences from even the simplest ingredients.
